The Running Shop is dedicated to the needs of runners, we are located in James Street, Burleigh Heads. The Running Shop is owned and staffed by local Gold Coast athletes who understand that everyone has a unique foot and running style. We know how critical it is to be fitted with the correct pair of running shoes to avoid injury and ensure peak performance.
Current stock includes Adidas, Asics, Brooks, Mizuno and Newton running shoes. We also carry a large selection of apparel as well as compression garments from Body Science, Compressport . Other brands and products stocked include Garmin GPS units and heart rate monitors, Fuel Belt running accessories, Oakley sunglasses and Body Glide, however keep an eye out as new products are often introduced to our shop.
The Running shop also supports numerous local events and clubs including The Burleigh Blue Hat Series, Tomewin Running Festival, The Salt Running Festival, Burleigh Heads Mulbray Park Surf Club, The Rat Pack and numerous local gyms.
In conjunction with the clubs and local events we also help out some of Gold Coast’s biggest names in sport, such as:
1. Caine Eckstein - Caine has a very impressive resume in Surf Life Saving he is a previous world board champion, 5 times Coolangatta Gold winner and won the Kellogg’s Nutri-grain series in 2011/12. Keep an eye out this year to see what Caine is up to and you can follow his progress in 2013 via twitter @CaineEckstein
2. Les “Lock & Load” Sherrington - Les Sherrington is a young rising super middleweight who currently holds the P.A.B.A and W.B.F titles. Along with his natural ability, Sherrington has been blessed with knockout power, with 17 of his 27 fights ending in a K'O you can follow Les on facebook
3. Clint Kimmins - Clint is a very versatile athlete no matter what sport he seems to choose, he is a former junior world surfing champion, he took on The Coolangatta Gold and now has transitioned into Triathlon’s with amazing talent.
